Displaying a Character Next to an Answer Field

The survey editor allows you to display a character (e.g., $, %) to the left or right side of an open-ended answer field in text or number elements. If the question has multiple answer options, the character will appear next to each one.

1:  Setting the Form Pre-Text

Example:

To show a character on the left side of an open-ended response field(s), first select the question so it appears in the staging area of the survey editor. Then click on the "Basic" style link found in the top, right corner of the question.

The "Question Display Options" window will appear. Locate the "Form Pre-text" field and enter the desired character. Then select "Save" and the form pre-text will be set for the question.

2:  Setting the Form Post-Text

Example:

To show a character on the right side of an open-ended response field(s), first select the question so it appears in the staging are of the survey editor. Then click on the "Basic" style link found in the top, right corner of the question.
