Survey Editor

The Survey Editor is where the bulk of programming a survey will take place. As the survey is constructed, the icons on the left-hand side of the Survey Editor screen, along the top, and to the right of constructed questions serve as guides for additional programming. Each of these functions can be understood by mousing over them to see explanations.

1:  Question and Question Table Buttons

1.2:  Move Question

is used to move a question in your survey. This button allows you to select the question you want to move and designate where you would like to move it. The default choice will allway be to move the Active question to after the Active question.

1.3:  Copy Question

is used to copy a question in your survey. This button allows you to select a question to copy and designate where you would like to place the new question. The default choice will allway be to copy the Active question to after the Active question.

1.4:  Create Question Tables

in order to create a table you must first create at least one question where it's answer options will become the answer options of the table. Next click this button and select the first question to use. The default will always be the Active question. Now using the Table creation wizard you can either have it create rows automatically based on copy and pasted text, or you can create each row based on an already created question. You will also need to specify the last question in which you want to include the answer options from. The default will always be the Active question.

2:  Additional Survey Functions

2.1:  Test Run

is used to run the survey in test mode.

2.2:  Quota Manager

is used to set and view quotas. There are three types of Quotas: Total Quotas, which are used to set the total number of completes for the survey; Advanced Quotas, which allow you to set up complex logic to terminate respondents; and Simple Quotas, which allow you to set a quota value for any individual option choice in a radio, pulldown, or checkbox question. Any quota that is set to zero will profile terminate a respondent. Any quota that is set to 1 or higher will quota terminate a respondent.

2.3:  Publish Survey

will publish your survey, allowing respondents to access the survey via any of the selected methods under Survey Properties.

2.4:  Random Sequencer

Allows you to create random sequences for question choices, groups of questions, and/or rotational groups to follow.

2.5:  File Manager

Allows you to view, delete, and upload files to be used in the survey.

2.6:  Edit Survey Properties

Whenever a condition evaluates to "false" a question is hidden. %APPLICATION% highly recommends using conditions instead of branching due to their highly efficient nature during respondent survey navigation.
